Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Nester Insurance Inc.
(“Nester”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles data in connection with our Chrome
browser extension called Nester EN Robot (the “Extension”).
The Extension is designed for internal use by our brokerage and interacts with our
locally installed automation software (“Nester EN Robot desktop application” or
“Nester EN Robot software”).
This Policy applies exclusively to the Extension and does not apply to our website
or other services operated by Nester Insurance Inc.
1. Scope & Purpose
The single purpose of the Nester EN Robot Chrome Extension is to assist authorized
staff of Nester Insurance Inc. in extracting enrollee information from third-party
systems (such as Employee Navigator and AgencyBloc) and passing that information to
the locally installed Nester EN Robot desktop application on the same device.
The Nester EN Robot desktop application then uses this information to automatically
generate benefit enrollment or termination emails and PDF forms for carriers, general
administrators, and related parties. The Extension cannot function without the locally
installed automation software, and no data leaves the user’s device for the Extension
to operate.
2. Data Collection & Usage
We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal or sensitive user data
through the Extension. All processing occurs locally on the user’s machine.
Specifically:
- The Extension reads data only from the authorized systems (e.g., Employee Navigator
and AgencyBloc) when initiated by a user. - Data is forwarded via the local native messaging host to the Nester EN Robot
desktop application on the same device. - There is no further transmission of this data to external servers or third parties
by the Extension. - The Extension forgets all data immediately after the email/PDF generation process
completes. - No user login or account is required to use the Extension.
- Local browser storage is used only for temporary configuration settings and
contains no personal or sensitive enrollee data.
3. Permissions & Justifications
The Nester EN Robot Chrome Extension requests certain permissions strictly to
perform the functionality described in this Policy. These include, but may not be
limited to:
- activeTab – Allows the Extension to act on the tab the user
is currently working in when the user explicitly invokes the Extension. - tabs – Used to detect and manage which tab is active and ensure
automation runs in the correct context. - scripting – Required to inject scripts that extract enrollee
information necessary to generate enrollment and termination documentation. - storage – Used only to store minimal, non-sensitive extension
configuration settings (such as user preferences). No personal enrollee data is
stored. - downloads – Used to download PDF forms or related documents
generated by the Nester EN Robot desktop application. - contextMenus – Allows user-initiated actions (e.g., right-click
menu options) to start automation from relevant pages. - cookies – Accessed only to maintain authenticated sessions on
third-party systems (such as Employee Navigator and AgencyBloc). Cookie values
are neither collected nor transmitted by the Extension. - nativeMessaging – Required to communicate locally with the
Nester EN Robot desktop application. Data is transmitted only between the
Extension and the locally installed software on the same device; it is not sent to
external servers by the Extension. - offscreen – Used to create hidden background documents or
processes needed to prepare content for emails or PDF generation. - Host permissions (e.g.,
https://*.employeenavigator.com/*,
https://app.agencybloc.com/*) – Limited to the systems where
enrollee information is stored and used solely for authorized operations by
Nester Insurance Inc. staff.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because the Extension does not store personal or sensitive data, no data retention
period is applicable. Once a task is completed (e.g., generation of an email or PDF
form), all processed data is discarded from the Extension’s memory.
If you uninstall the Extension, any configuration data stored by the Extension in
Chrome’s local storage is removed as part of the normal browser extension removal
process or when the browser profile is deleted.
5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Access
We do not share any data processed by the Extension with third parties,
advertisers, analytics providers, or other external entities. The Extension does not
implement tracking, profiling, or behavioral advertising.
6. Security
The Extension and the associated Nester EN Robot desktop application are designed
so that all operations occur on the user’s local device. Data is processed within the
user’s browser and the locally installed software only for the purpose of generating
benefit enrollment or termination documentation.
Access to Employee Navigator, AgencyBloc, and other third-party systems remains
governed by the user’s existing credentials and those systems’ authentication
mechanisms. The Extension does not bypass or replace those security controls.
7. Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Nester EN Robot Chrome Extension is provided on an “as is” and “as available”
basis, without any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied,
including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Your use of the Extension is at your own risk. In no event shall Nester Insurance
Inc. or its affiliates, directors, employees, or suppliers be liable for any direct,
indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any other
damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data,
business interruption, or other commercial damages or losses, arising out of or in
connection with your use of or inability to use the Extension.
Information accessed or processed through the Extension from third-party systems
may be subject to change, and Nester Insurance Inc. makes no commitment to ensure
that the Extension is updated in tandem with all external systems or that any
particular workflow will remain compatible over time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
“Effective Date” at the top of this page and publish the updated version at this
same URL. Your continued use of the Extension after the effective date of any changes
constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
